The dates for the 25th Annual Mammoth Festival of Beers and Bluesapalooza, have been announced. Thursday August 1 - Sunday August 4. Set outdoors among the pines with the big and bold eastern High Sierra as a backdrop this is Mammoth's most attended summer event which showcases the best microbreweries and blues performers in the country. And yes, it sells out!

Started nearly 25 years ago by the Mammoth Beer Company owned by Sam Walker, the event has grown in popularity, yet still sponsored by our local beer makers to become the biggest music event of the summer. Every year Mammoth brings together an amazing line up of well renown pro talent and a wide assortment of micro brews from around the country. For the regulars who come every year, you know it is a sell out every year, with a scrambling for last minute tickets. There were 70 micro brews represented last year along and at last count there were over 15 bands featuring blues, bluegrass, soulful, easy listening and smooth jazz.

The traditional three day event has expanded to four days. Thursday starts with an early afternoon of fun and music. Friday night is traditionally the BBQ, Saturday is the infamous beer tasting and the Sunday brings on the hangover party! Past performers have included Johnny Winter, Dave Mason, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Robben Ford, John Lee Hooker Jr, Shemekia Copeland, John Nemeth, Janiva Magness, Buckwheat Zydeco, Charlie Musselwhite, Tommy Castro, Savoy Brown, Ruthie Foster, Eric Sardinas and Big Motor, Joe Louis Walker, Sugar Pie DeSanto, Michael Hill Blues Mob, Tom Ball and Kenny Sultan, Chris Duarte, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jonny Lang, Duke Robillard, Rick Derringer, Coco Montoya, Walter Trout,John Hammond, Joan Osborne, JJ Grey & Mofro, Leon Russell, Robert Cray, Edgar Winter, Los Lonely Boys, Blues Traveler, Bettye LaVette, Ana Popovic, and more.
