Fishing season in Mammoth

Merry Fishmas

Event Date: Saturday, April 28, 2018 / Event Location: Any Lake You Want

Real anglers know the exact date fishing season starts in Mammoth. It has a funny name... we call it Fishmas as the day rolls around where all the Mono County lakes are open for the spring/summer season and it's like Christmas around here. Fishing is the #1 activity in front of hiking and mountain biking. Although it is little known, Mammoth as 27 holes of golf as well, but come April you'll find fisherman and skiers playing together.

Fishing has long been an activity that is shared from parent to child and in Mammoth it is no different. Fathers and mothers pass the gift of being outside floating on a lake to their kids and make it an annual event. What makes fishing great is actually catching the fish and Mammoth makes it easy. On Thursday's the fish stocking truck goes to various lakes and fills them up so there is always a reason to come on up. While we can't guarantee you won't get skunked out, we can guarantee the fun you'll have sharing this activity with your family and friends.

Come on up and we will wish you a "Merry Fishmas" all the way to November 15. There are lots of fishing events all summer long in Mono County This is the guide to them.
